Every two years the MCAA conducts an anonymous survey of same-day courier delivery companies to identify trends, get data to support our government advocacy efforts and audit proceedings, and help our members benchmark their operations. The results of these surveys will be made public for use by any and all courier companies.
Who participated?
We encouraged Canadian and international courier firms to participate, as well as U.S. courier companies with the following classifications (MCAA membership not required).
- NAICS Code 4921101: Courier Services (except By Air)
(Establishments primarily engaged in furnishing delivery of individually addressed letters, parcels, and packages (generally under 100 lbs) by truck or other land vehicle. Included are establishments that perform intercity transportation as well as establishments that, under contract to them, do the local pick-up and delivery.)
- NAICS Code 4922: Local Messengers and Local Delivery
(This industry group comprises establishments primarily engaged in providing local messenger and delivery services of small items within a single metropolitan or within an urban center. These establishments generally provide point-to-point pickup and delivery and do not operate as part of an intercity courier network.)
